“I have no problems with my insulin injections, so why use an Injection Locator”?

1) As we all know, while building a new house, the foundation under the house is the first requirement and expense (20 to 25% of the total cost). 2) Another example. Let’s say; you bought a very expensive car. Because you run out of money, you decided to cut down in the maintenance expenses. You skip service calls, don’t change your engine oil, do not change the air filter, forget the water in the radiator, skip a wheel alignment, you do not border about checking the transmission oil, and other maintenance needs.

After 2 or 3 years of driving, suddenly the engine needs an overhaul, the transmission needs to be fixed, the radiator is leaking, a tire replacement is necessary and your expensive car has “irreversible” troubles and will not last as long you expected.

3) With Diabetes it is NOT different; you must start with the six “self-maintenance basics”. Those six basics are; Stress Management, Regular Insulin Injections, Weight Control, Exercise and Balanced Food Intake. The sixth important and most often ignored basic is: “Separation of the Injection sites”. Most Health Care Professionals strongly advise you to separate your injection sites, however, not often you are advised how to do Injection Site Separation in an easy, fast and systematic way.
